North America Travel Guide

A cornucopia of diversity for all travelers

North America's climate, which runs the gamut from the sweltering heat of the Mayan Riviera in Mexico to the mind-numbing cold of the Canadian arctic, embodies the diversity that makes up the three countries of the continent.

You'll find cultures, climate and geographical features that are as diverse as any on the planet. From the Grand Canyon to Niagara Falls to the Everglades to the volcanoes of Mexico, there is no shortage of natural wonders to explore on this continent. With 11 Olympic Games venues and world-class cities like New York, Montreal and Mexico City, you can chart your own journey through the metropolitan jungle.

Canada

Tuck into fresh lobster at a seaside restaurant in Charlottetown. Carve through pristine, white powder at a ski resort in Whistler. Gaze in wonder at the blowing waves of Saskatchewan wheat fields that appear to stretch as far as the horizon. Walk among the clouds at the top of the world's tallest freestanding building, the CN Tower in Toronto. Canada, the multicultural capital of the world, is as diverse as the North American continent itself.

Mexico

Take a trip back in time by walking through the crumbling cities of long-dead civilizations like Chichen Itza before sipping an icy cocktail on a sandy Yucatan Peninsula beach. Or, if you're more of an adventurous type, run with the bulls in Aguascalientes. If you're feeling guilty, repent in Puebla, where you'll find more than 200 churches. Mexico is a country with a year-round climate favorable to sun seekers, but it brings much more to the table than posh, beachside resorts.

United States

The excesses of the modern world are on display in the United States. America has the glitzy nightlife of the Western Hemisphere's gambling hotspot, Las Vegas; the over-the-top glamour of New York City; and the Hollywood hype of glittering Los Angeles. Still, there's another wholesome side to America reminiscent of mom and apple pie. Every region, often every state, of the country is unique and ripe for you to explore.
