Luxury Cruise Vacations - New Luxury Yacht Available for Specialty Cruises
A floating hotel
Ever dream of living aboard a luxury yacht and spending your days golfing and fishing? Sounds like a Greek tycoon’s vacation? Northern Trading Voyages, based in Blaine, Washington, in the northwest corner of the U.S.A. offers you this kind of opportunity.
For example, you can choose a five day, four night golf package including an initial night, at the Inn at Semi-ah-moo, followed by a day of golf at the resort’s Golf and Country Club, located just five miles south of the Canada/USA border at Blaine, Washington.
Your floating Hotel will then take you for three days of cruising with ports of call to visit world class Canadian golf courses; Morningstar International in Parksville, BC, and Fairwinds at Schooner Cove on Vancouver Island, or Furry Creek and Whistler golf courses up the scenic coast of British Columbia.
Northern Trading Voyages christened their new 80 foot ship, the NORTHERN SONG in April of this year. Owned and operated by the Feenstra family, this luxury yacht is now available for charter, either in Washington’s Straights of Juan de Fuca or off the coast of Alaska. With a maximum of ten overnight guests, the schedule of the Northern Song is flexible. “We love spontaneity,” says Betty Feenstra, enthusiastic partner in this venture. A honeymoon for two or a corporate promotion for ten, the Northern Song will try to be accommodating.
For the more adventuresome, the ship offers access to an Alaska unknown to the average tourist. Captain Dick Feenstra, having spent 26 years in the fishing business in the area, has an intimate knowledge of the coastal waters from Washington to Alaska. He plans to take passengers to out-of-the-way fishing villages, hidden coves and picturesque spots unspoiled by civilization, secluded areas reached only by sea. Who better than Captain Feenstra to coach others in the secret haunts of the many varieties of fish inhabiting these waters.
Aboard the yacht, passengers will find all the comforts of home and more. Tastefully decorated in shades of teal and shrimp or salmon, the vessel blends with it’s ocean setting. The 30 foot long galley, dining area and salon have been carefully planned to present an open, spacious feeling. Guests relax while chef whips up gourmet meals.
Large, open decks offer plenty of space for fishing, barbecuing or sunbathing and the flying bridge provide a wonderful vantage point for whale watching. Spacious staterooms each have their own en-suite, and can accomodate two or even three guests.
Available to those who simply cannot leave it all behind, is the use of fax, cell telephones and two computers, with the latest in MicroSoft software. Land-based forays are accomodated by a variety of means; limousines, helicopters or vans, are available to whisk passengers to their desired destinations.
Whether it’s for a day of whale watching, a romantic sunset dinner cruise, an overnight getaway or a few days of fishing/golfing/cruising, the crew of the Northern Song will do thelr best to fulfill your dreams.
