California Travel Guide
The Golden State shines on
Everything that glitters in California doesn't necessarily come from Hollywood. America's Golden State bears a worldwide reputation as the land of fast cars, fast deals and fast careers.
Sun shines here most days of the year, producing a bounty of fresh vegetables and fruits, including an embarrassing richness of grapes that produce the famous Sonoma and Napa Valley wines. The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range boasts some of the best skiing in the country, and thrill-seekers year round can take advantage of some of Yosemite, Joshua Tree and Death Valley national parks.
San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego round off the state's list of attractions. Within these cities, you'll find the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and more than enough white sandy beaches to fill up your spare days.
With all this diversity and the huge selection of things to do, California could easily be a nation all its own.
